Will you be attending the reunion? Yes, but we haven’t registered yet.Where are you living now? Atlanta, Georgia
Email: laura.hargrove@cobbk12.org
Tell us about your husband: Josh and I met while attending Valdosta State University. He was an Exercise Science intern at the gym. All VSU students had to take his course (some more than others). Actually, the fee for the upkeep of the machines was only $25, which was much cheaper than the local gyms. It didn't hurt that the interns were eye candy! Little did I know that Josh was beginning the preceedings for a divorce AND had two little critters at home. Joshua and Hunter were just 4 1/2 and 4 months at the time. Fast forward...we moved to the Atlanta area, where Josh manages medical sales and I teach 2nd grade.

When did you meet? 1989
And your kids? Joshua and Hunter are now 17 and 13 years old. They both play traveling soccer, which has us busy every weekend.
JD tries to have a social life as well. He has been dating a girl for about a year however, she moved to St. Simons about 3 hours away. So now JD DRIVES his jeep to visit his girlfriend.
Hunter, on the other hand, motors around the neighborhood on his Huffy. His best friend just moved into our neighborhood, whom I taught 6 years ago. They enjoy setting up courses in the woods and unloading paintballs into each others body parts.
We have 2 Labs, Bailey is an 11-year-old yellow and Coco is a 4-year-old chocolate. Keeping them in check is Harley, a 3-year-old Maine Coon and Chi Chi, our 1-year- old chinchilla.
Occupation: Teacher
Where have you lived since graduation? After graduation, I moved back to Tampa and attended USF for a few years. However, it seems that I spent more time skipping class than actually going. So I opted for a much smaller school. Transferring to VSC was the best thing I could've done. I actually changed majors, got serious and graduated. After graduating, I moved to Kennesaw, GA. I currently reside in Atlanta.accomplishment = My greatest accomplishment since high school has been teaching. I taught for a few years and went back to school to get my Masters. This just got the ball rolling for additional leadership roles. Now I have 13 years under my belt, teach in the best school system in GA have been nominated as Teacher of the Year. In the fall, I will starting school again @ GA State for a doctorate in Ed Leadership. Who would've thought that Mr. Spaulding's dunce would go on to actually excel? If you could go back and do anything differently, what would it be? I would not change anything, but would like to have been more carefree!
What is the one thing you know now that you wish you knew then? I wish I had hindsight enough to take advantage of the moments that were offered to me.
What do you miss most about school? I guess I miss being naive and irresponsible. We had such a great time and it's hard to express to others not in similar situations.
What was the best part of going to school in England? Location, location, location...

Why do you think we have such a unique bond? Our bond is unique because we were at the most impressionable times of our lives and we only had each other!
What was your favorite class? Art w/ Mr. Phelps
Who was your favorite teacher? Mrs. Hoyt
What is your favorite memory? My favorite memories are of hanging out in the dorms talking smut with the girls OR flirting at the A-Y-A.
Nuff said!
