Marianne (Pasquarelli) Waldman ‘87

************************************************
Will you be attending the reunion? No

Where are you living now? Brooklin, Ontario, Canada

Email: kiddo-1@rogers.com

Tell us about your husband: I actually met my current husband when he came to Ashtabula, Ohio for the funeral of my late husband, William D. Glover, Jr. He was a police officer murdered in the line of duty Nov. 17, 1997. The man who killed Billy now sits on Ohio's death row awaiting execution.

When did you get married? 1998

And your kids? I am the mother of three children. Philip is my oldest, born NOV. '87. He will be 20 in a few weeks. He is currently in college/university and is progressing towards obtaining a Bachelors of Commerce with honors He is a right, intelligent, athletic and outgoing individual with a zeal for life. My youngest son is Sean, almost 17 years old and in his junior year of high school. He has a heart of gold and is planning on returning to the states after graduation to join the US Army. My youngest is my daughter Amanda. She is 15 an dis in 10th grade. She has an amazing ability to articulate well beyond her years and is has an unbelievable talent for writing. All three children have been through an unspeakable trauma through the loss of their father. They were 10, 6, and 5 years of age when their father was killed and it has had traumatic effects on their lives. My proudest moment for all of my children is their ability to take all that life has hit them with and still remain honest, loving and respectful young adults Not to mention I think they are the most gorgeous kids alive (okay so I a biased!!) Pets are a true love in our home as well...four dogs ranging from an 8 in shi-poo mix, to a toy poodle, a scchnoodle and the love of my life, my mini-dauschund...Oscar. We also have a variety of parrots and enjoy them thoroughly.

Occupation: Home maker/paralegal/avian veterinary technician

Where have you lived since graduation? I returned to Virginia Beach,Chesapeake after graduation up until 1994 when my late husband and I moved to Ashtaula Ohio. I was a deputy sheriff/corporal for five years with both city departments. Upon moving to Ohio, I became a new reporter, doing primarily the crime beat, while my late husband was the states youngest chief of police for a small department in Roaming Shores Ohio. He eventually felt he'd be put out to pasture to early so he joined Ashtaula Police Department and 1 day shy of his 6 month ann. with the dept. he was murdered. I moved to Canada June of 1998.

What would you consider to be your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment I would have to say was being a published author of a poem that is law enforcement oriented, which has been used in many ceremonies and police graduations. The one that I am most proud of however, is being able to raise my children, despite the adversity, to e absolutely awesome, moral, upstanding and non-biased individuals.

If you could go back and do anything differently, what would it be? I think I would have pursued support from Philip's natural father which would have allowed him to have knowledge and accessibility to relatives that he deserves to know, with the exception of his father. It is truly what he deserved.

What is the one thing you know now that you wish you knew then? I wish I realized just how short life really can be and that you should live so that you have no regrets. Be yourself and don’t try to impress. If people really like you, they will like you for who you really are, not who you pretend to be.

What do you miss most about LCHS? Not making better friends and trusting the wrong guy...though he did bless me with my wonderful son...as well a gave him other siblings over the years.

What was the best part of LCHS? No parental supervision!!!

Why do you think we have such a unique bond? I would hope it is because in one way or another we have all experienced something unique, especially now that the school we attended is now closed.

What was your favorite class? Cosmetology

Favorite Teacher? Mrs. A.

Do you have a favorite memory? Not really... there were several good ones....
